Tesla delivered approximately 1.63 million electric vehicles globally in 2025, with its Shanghai Gigafactory in Lin-gang Special Area accounting for 851,000 units — 52 percent of the company's worldwide deliveries. The Shanghai factory remains Tesla's largest export hub.

The Shanghai Gigafactory rolled out its 4-millionth vehicle on Dec 10, marking a major milestone. On Dec 31, Tesla's 9-millionth vehicle came off the Shanghai production line. The factory delivered more than 97,100 vehicles in December 2025, marking its highest monthly delivery of the year.

The factory broke ground in Lin-gang in January 2019 and went into production at the end of the year, creating a "Tesla speed" in the project construction thanks to Lin-gang and Shanghai's continuously optimized business environment.

Achieving over 95 percent localization in parts and 95 percent automation, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory in Lin-gang has established itself as a key global export hub and a benchmark for advanced manufacturing.
