Construction has begun on China's first immersive cultural tourism project centered around an aviation science fiction franchise, located in the Lin-gang Special Area of Shanghai.
The Nantianmen Project AI Sci-fi Park, expected to open by the end of 2025, seeks to fill a gap in China's cultural tourism sector by integrating science, technology, industrial heritage, and science fiction.
The park is located at No 1, Lane 288, Haotong Road, Pudong New Area.
Spearheaded by AVIC Global Culture Communication (Beijing) Co Ltd and Shanghai Shuangma Smart Digital Media Technology Co Ltd, the park covers 40,000 square meters with a total construction area exceeding 80,000 square meters.
Based on AVIC Global's original "Nantianmen Project", the park employs AI interaction and military-grade simulation technology to transform cutting-edge aerospace technologies into entertainment experiences for the public.
Visitors to the park can experience a variety of attractions. The "Lunar Base", a 1:1 replica of the lunar surface, allows visitors to operate a Hanguang vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) platform to complete material transportation tasks.
At the "Mecha Workshop", guests can don exoskeletons as they assemble "Mingdi" fighter models, simulating the daily life of an aerospace engineer.
The "Deep Space Battlefield" utilizes VR-MR mixed reality technology to allow players to cooperate with the "Xuannu" drone formation to fight against alien invaders.
At the "Luan Bird Command Center", visitors can participate in the global scheduling of strategic aerospace carrier platforms within a 20-meter-diameter spherical dome.
The park expects to launch limited-edition cultural and creative products related to "Nantianmen" tactical equipment and the immersive short drama Dawn of Deep Space, further expanding the boundaries of the film, technology, and cultural tourism industries.
