The Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai witnessed the opening of Mira Land, the first large-scale commercial complex in its main urban area, on Aug 27.

Inspired by the majesty of whales, the project blends marine elements with modern commercial concepts, aiming to become a vibrant hub of fun and entertainment in Lin-gang.

Covering a total floor area of approximately 143,000 square meters, the shopping center features a dynamic design with a flowing glass facade. Inside, natural elements and the exclusive mascot image create an immersive ecological atmosphere, enhanced by a whale-shaped tech light installation in the central atrium.

Over 200 brands have set up shops, with 60 percent making their debut in Lin-gang, spanning retail, lifestyle, parent-child entertainment, tech experiences, cultural activities, and convenience services. The dining options alone exceed 100.

During its opening celebration from Aug 27 to 31, the shopping center hosted a series of immersive events, including an acrobatic performance, a Yingge dance show — a type of folk dance in South China's Chaoshan area, a music concert, and a gathering for anime fans.
