The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) and Shanghai TV Festival (STVF) held their Partners' Night on Nov 29, announcing that the 27th SIFF and the 30th STVF will launch global calls for submissions in December.

Chen Guo, director of Shanghai International Film & TV Festivals Co Ltd, revealed that the upcoming SIFF and STVF will see a comprehensive upgrade of five sub-brands: the Magnolia Awards Ceremony × Lingang, International Film & TV Market, SIFF ING, 4K RESTORATION Classic IP Renewal Program, and SIFF SCREENING.

The Magnolia Awards are one of the three most authoritative TV awards in China. This year, the STVF's Magnolia Awards Ceremony was held in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area for the first time, integrating Lin-gang's cultural and tourism sectors and infusing the area with a dose of artistic vitality.

As part of a three-year strategic cooperation agreement signed by the Shanghai International Film & TV Center and Shanghai Lingang Special Area Investment Holding Group Co Ltd at the event, the partners will deepen their cooperation and further empower the area by hosting major art events, especially the 2025 Magnolia Awards Ceremony.
