The 2025 Lin-gang Sci-Tech Innovation Conference was held on May 16, focusing on building a comprehensive support system for youth entrepreneurship and innovation.

The event aimed to drive the deep integration of sci-tech innovation, industries, talent, finance, and education, strengthening technological innovation in Lin-gang Special Area and accelerating its development into a globally influential sci-tech innovation hub.

During the conference, the Lin-gang Special Area Administration and Shanghai Jiao Tong University signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, to build an industrial innovation park.

The Lin-gang X·TIME 2025 International Entrepreneurship Competition was launched during the conference, targeting cutting-edge fields such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine, offering up to 50 million yuan ($6.9 million) in policy incentives for winning projects.

The Lin-gang Makers' Home initiative was also introduced, providing affordable entrepreneurship spaces and youth apartments, along with a suite of entrepreneurial policies. Additionally, 12 measures were unveiled, creating a comprehensive closed-loop support system for makers.

Lin-gang Special Area continues to attract sci-tech resources, hosting national-level platforms and 12 universities, fostering a vibrant innovation ecosystem. With a strong emphasis on R&D investment and talent attraction, Lin-gang aims to become a "city of entrepreneurship" and a "home to makers", offering low-cost sci-tech spaces, comprehensive talent support, and a dynamic innovation environment.
