As part of the "Invest in Shanghai, Share the Future" investment promotion campaign, a "Baden-Baden China Day" event was held in Baden-Baden, Germany, on April 14, bringing together officials and business leaders to explore new cooperation opportunities with Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area.

The event was attended by nearly 100 representatives from more than 50 German companies and institutions across areas such as precision manufacturing and legal services. Participants also included organizations such as the Chinese Consulate General in Frankfurt, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Karlsruhe and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Yang Zhengwei, executive deputy director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, delivered a speech at the event. He said Lin-gang is a "testing ground" for China's high-level opening-up and welcomed German enterprises to invest and grow in the area, sharing in its development opportunities.

Chinese consul general in Frankfurt Huang Yiyang noted that Lin-gang is a beacon of opening-up in China, with a number of German companies operating there. He added that amid a complex international environment, China and Germany should implement the consensus reached by the nations' respective leaders, strengthen traditional areas of cooperation, expand emerging sectors, and further deepen industrial collaboration and innovation.

At the event, the Lin-gang Special Area Administration presented a detailed overview of Lin-gang's industrial policies and investment environment. In recent years, the area has built a high-tech industrial ecosystem revolving around integrated circuits, civil aviation, smart vehicles, and high-end equipment, alongside an open trade and investment system, a global transport network, and a market-oriented, law-based business environment.

Moving forward, Lin-gang will continue to support German enterprises in establishing a long-term presence and achieving mutual growth.
