A symposium for Chinese and British digital economy companies was held in London on April 23, marking a new step forward in cooperation between Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area and the UK and other European countries in the digital economy while creating new channels for business cooperation and supporting foreign investment in Lin-gang.

At the event, representatives of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration introduced the area's development, data industry policies, and support measures, highlighting pilot programs for cross-border data flows and progress in international data center development. Representatives from four British companies exchanged views on digital economy cooperation and explored opportunities for deeper collaboration.

During the event, the London node of the Lin-gang international data center was officially launched, while the UK station of the international data cooperation and exchange workstation was unveiled, becoming another key global data cooperation hub for Lin-gang, following earlier stations in Chile and Brazil.

As a frontier for reform and opening-up, Lin-gang has been advancing pilot measures in areas such as cross-border data flows and value-added telecommunications opening, while building a regulatory framework and business-friendly environment for digital industries.

Moving forward, Lin-gang will use the UK workstation as a platform to deepen cooperation with British and European companies in the data sector, promote landmark projects, and strengthen China-Europe digital economy cooperation.
